Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on 25th November, 1968, in Canada is a Canadian actor and singer that was recognized for her significant contributions to American television. She's famous for her impressive performances on the American television series Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons as prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan wherein she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy is also famous for her outstanding performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Other films comprise Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988 when she along with her twin sister were the Callgirls on Dead Ringers. She appeared briefly in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story in Broadway in 1990. In 1993, Hennessy left the realm of musicals to enter the genre of sci-fi as the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her breakthrough occurred later that year when she joined the ensemble of the acclaimed NBC crime show Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. The three-season run in the character was well-loved by the public. In 1996, she left the show. Parker is well-known for her role in films, series and television shows such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side as well as the West Wing Angels of America. The actress was awarded a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress as well as an Emmy Award. Parker received an Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her part in the role of Proof on Broadway.
