In her last two years in the Trojans team, she led them to a national title every time. Her individual achievements have cemented her place as a legendary volleyball player. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the best female college player. Ross who was who was a USC international relations major, was a volleyball star. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the opportunity to see Ross' daughter blossom into an international beach volleyball star. Ross's mother passed away from breast carcinoma in the year 2001.
